Looking forward to seeing it. Thank You!
The Robman wrote:@Carwarr, just FYI, I have written a new executor to handle this receiver but I have not had time to do any testing with it. I will post it once it's been tested.

Sorry for the delay. I was having trouble upgrading to RMIR.2.14.16

Thanks for the partial update you created, Rob.

I took your upgrade, added in all the other learned codes I could, and zipped up my .IR file with all the learned codes that still don't work.
I updated the .RMDU file with the ...

Thanks Rob, I tried to bring it up your new partial upgrade with my older RM Device Upgrade Editor (RMDU), v2.13.5 and it mostly comes up but when I try to go to the functions tab, nothing comes up. other tabs work fine.
Well, just found out that if I take focus away from the RDMU window and come ...

Pioneer VSX-534 receiver

I am trying to create an upgrade for my new Pioneer receiver.

I am new to these newer Pioneer codes.

Below is my file with as much buttons learned as I could in it.

The problem is it uses 3 different types of button commands ...

Wow, well done Mitch. Could you take a photo of the hidden power button and post it, just to help the next person with this issue?

Always happy to help!

Looking at this close up I can almost see the push button switch mounted on the PCB under the ...

So I was about to call RCA for the 5th time... They kept telling me that tech support would call me back but no one was.

Anyway, I had got another TV in the mean time and forgot what I had tried on the RCA.

I was writing down the model number and other info for when I talked to RCA and what did I ...

This worked for me on an older RCA TV (which I no longer have)

IIRC, it also turns on test mode if the keys are pressed when the TV is off.
No go on my model, but thanks for trying!

Re: RCA TV in Test/Burn in mode!!!

There was one Philips tv I worked on that, to switch it from commercial to home use, I had to press the remote while plugging it in. You stated that EFC 079 put it in this mode so, if you have a key set to EFC 079, try holding that key and then plug in the tv or try exit key while plugging it in ...

Pro Mini Mega2560

So when I bought my clone Arduino Mega 2560, the same seller had what they are calling Pro Mini Mega2560 that I also bought since it was so small.

Here is a link to it:

To use the Mega 2560 through its USB port, without a JP1.2/3 cable, you will need RMIR v2.13.5 which I shall shortly post in the RMIR Development folder . In that version the Options > Advanced menu will have an option "Find all Arduino". You need to select that option. It is persistent, in that ...

I reported earlier that the Chinese clone of the original Arduino Nano works with the current RMIR, v2.13.2. I have since found in repeat testing that this is erratic. It is sometimes recognised by that version of RMIR, but not always. This is due to some variability in its timings, a property that ...

Great news! I am glad that I started this whole thread!
So am I, as it has given me an incentive to find out why the Mega 2560 would not work through its USB port :) .

I am glad about that, too, as I now have someone else who can test my fixes for the Mega 2560 so please try to get it working ...

All that is required of hardware is a Nano clone with pins, a mini USB lead (NOT a micro USB one) to connect the Nano to the PC and five female-to-female Dupont patch cables. One of these is to connect pins 1 and 2 of the remote's 6-pin connector together, the other four connect the other connector ...
