I like the size, weight and control of my iPod mini. Could not this type of control be designed into a URC with some of the features listed in this thread? It sure could be a simple looking/clean and small device. However, like most things in life, I'm sure there would be a compromise somewhere ...

My URC 9910 can be upgraded via telephone, so I'm assuming that it has a built in modem or receiver of some kind and software that translates these audio signals into codes somewhere in the EEPROM. Thus, can one use JP1 to configure a remote and then upload this configuration to the remote using the ...

Just FYI the 9910 doesn't have the master power macro option as some of the other remotes do.

The manual may disagree with you but what you described is really what happens. So somehwere in the deep dark recesses of your biological EEPROM you probably read about it somewhere :D I'm going to try UE tech support one more time. Maybe I'll get a different answer.
