I don't know, but I think, it's impossible, since it's a very simple circuit.

I've buyed a JP 1.2/1.3 usb cable with JP 1 adapter ($ 30 + $ 20) from Tommy Tyler for 3 or 4 years ago and I'm fully satisfied (I owned a 5550, a 7550, a 7562 and a 7781). I think, such a cable is expensiv, but the best ...

Joe, the 8811 doesn't have a modem, but it's able to learn.

You could learn the buttons of your sony remote and build an upgrade by your own.

This is an issue of the RDF.

Open the RDF via the notepad and go to the [Buttons] section.
Look for the names like "(T8)-PIP{Freeze}" and change them to "@PIP{Freeze}". Both versions means, that this are buttons only from the URC-8550, but the "@" version will show your timed macros properly.

You should post a download from your remote, so one of the experts can have a look at the protocol data.

I'm not sure, but if you disable DecodeIR, IR.exe shows the learned codes as NEC1, device 238, subdevice 135. Try this.

There is no special program to do this. Simply use the notepad. The only thing, you have to understand the contents of the RDF. 8)

Your remote sems to have a different keymap as the 7562 with the EBV0EVB1 signature. Therefor, the buttons are scrambled.

One solution is to go to the buttons sheet and sort the assignments by hand. Assign the function UP to the button PLAY, the function +10 to the button PAUSE and so on.
