I have the one for all urc-9910 bo1 rf/if extender with my viewing area in the living room and my equipment in another area.
I'd always have trouble getting this to work reliably. It seemed as though during the day it was a lot worse. I'd have to hit each key a couple of times before it would work ...

thanks
Thanks, that was quite helpful.
The 9910, b01 model was slightly different than described in that link.
There were only 4 screws on the pcb board at the top near the lcd surrounding a round object, likely the rf transmitter. Then there was a plastic button retainer cover that seemed to be able to ...

fixing worn keys on urc 9910 - open instructions
I've got a urc 9910 with a few keys that are real sticky. Can someone whose opened one up confirm the procedure. I'm the type who when opening up something electronic usually finds parts falling out that I can never figure out where they go.

The learned commands at the end (the last 2 CD keys on Power and Down) which IR says are Old Panasonic.
I'm stuck on how to proceed from here. I want to add these 2 to my extended 9910.

ok, I'm half way there
I found and installed a device upgrade for my rca vid switcher. That was easy once I remembered all the steps.
Now the hard part.
I've still not figured out how to get a device upgrade (or make one) for the fan. I was trying to figure out how to use KM, but I don't think IR is telling me enough ...

need help with oddball remotes added to extender
I have a URC 9910 which I've some time ago upgraded to an extender. I have the old pre-extender file. I reloaded the original pre-extend file, and learned 4 keys from 2 remotes. It did work, but inside ir.exe, I'm not sure DecodeIR (or the default) is decoding these correctly.

how do I do a reset when running an extender
I'm using an extender. I have the 9910 remote. Is there some key sequence that will reset it to factory state, or do I have to upload my original saved state?

is the urc8910 the same as the 9910 w/o receiver?
Is the 8910 remote just the remote part of the 9910 remote/receiver combo?
I.E. Can I get a spare remote w/o a receiver by buying an 8910?

extender (8910) timing questions
I have a urc 9910 and have just tried my first extender. I have one apparent timing issue, and was wondering if there was an easy way to change the overall speed of macro playback.

key moves vs. learned codes + shift question
A few questions on key move vs. learned codes. I understand that learned codes use up a lot of memory, here are some other issues I was wondering about:
1. Are the learned codes sent out faster or slower than ones that are key mapped to an upgrade I can now create from the data supplied by ir.exe ...
