Hi Bill,

I've been away for a few days and have just seen this msg...

I guess that 1.04 is closer to release now... if not, I'd love to have it for beta testing...

Ciao Bill, have a great weekend

I've been away for a few days and have just seen this msg...

I want to keep my tools the most up-to-date that I can...

Thanks a lot, Bill
Ciao

Hi Bill,
This spoiled me at first, but then I recalled that latest RM was fixed to ignore strangely named RDFs...

Thanks for the head-up, anyway.

Bill, are you planning to release new stuff?

Ciao

Hi Rob,

First of all, sorry for the storm damage... hope it's not too bad actually...

One question... I delayed an order for an URC-9964 and now I see they are sold out... are they gone forever or are youplanning to restock a few?

Again my wishes of good luck

Ciao Rob!

OK..

Changed the PID of my bTicino LightSwitch to $01FD to avoid overlaping with the Extender's built-in Brightness Special Protocol and used ExtInstall-2 to upgrade my Extended V1.01 IR file to the new V1.03 Extender version...

Everything works fine and all user-defined notes are carried-over to ...

Hi again, Bill...

thanks for all the info... now I have all the tools to make things work with my setup,

But I want to share with you Rob's thoughts on the matter... I asked him about the double PID in another thread, and this is his comment:

$01FF is the PID that the UEI folks often use for one ...

Hi Rob,

I've bought a couple of remotes from you a few months ago, and I'm enjoying using them as much as programming them via the JP1 Interface (With A LOT of help from you and other members in these fora...)...

I don't want to think what i'll do to command my HT System if my JP1 Remotes fail ...

Hi Rob,

Just a request...

It happens that the PID=$01FF you gave to the protocol in the upgrade you built for my IR Switch, is already used in the 9960B01 Bill "Unclemiltie" is refining... it is used for a Brightness control Special Protocol...

I am using his extender in my remote, as this makes ...

Hi Bill,

Ok, I suspected that these were not malfunctions but side-effects of the way ExtInstall works..

About the Other Settings not caried-over, they are all the "Initial" keygroups settings (Which you already told me are set into the Extender .hex), then the Shift and XShift Keycode and ...

Hi Bill,

Just made some tests...

While most (..read further for what "most" mean..) upgrades do work and the remote's behavior is what I actually "designed" it, there are a couple of things I have noticed:

- Notes eventually accompanying the original devices and protocols that make-up the ...

Hellò Bill,

I'm sorry of having NOT being able to respond to your request for feedback in the latest posts...

I wasn't at home and could not try anything in time..

You were quicker than me with your fix!

I'll go ahead and test your latest release in a few moments, then I'll let you know ...

Hi Bill..

I have the feeling that the notes' transport feature doesn't work properly yet, at least on my setup and converting my current 9960B01 Ext101 file to the latest Ext103 using your latest .hex file for the extender and the RDF you provided..

It seems that, instead of carrying over the ...

Hi Rob and all,

I confirm the upgrade works fine and I'm controlling my TV Room's light from the 9960 B01! :-)

And YES! I stuck with the 05 repeat value and the remote hasn't missed a single hit since then..

Thanks Rob... your knowledge is precious

Have a good wekend guys!

Hi Bill,
thanks for the explanation.. just one doubt... does the different RDFs between extenders' version cause any trouble?

I see your latest distribution includes new RDFs to take into account the different memory allocations etc...

Of course I'll have to wait until you fix your Extinstall to ...
