somehow my remotes memory got corrupted
did a reset (981->four blink)
did a download in IR
VOILA it finally read the remote.
thanks

but once read, what should i see or what should IR do to let me know that's its been read.
cause the only thing i see changed once read is that the raw data as changed.
just got home from bartending
rain all week end so lots of time for some reading.

YES i do see the files.
ALL 138 of them

Yes i did d/l all of the RDF files.
and yes its in the Directory /RDF.
i'll do more reading tonight when i'll get back from work.
and post my findings.
because when use IR.exe and download from remote, it (IR.exe) tells me that it can't find my remote and IR flashes(bottom left light in IR) a couple ...

plus its my first soldering project so not to much experience.
trying to troubleshoot + test my solder.

found a help file for my 8811
i've set it to the rdf path but it keeps saying can't find the right rdf for my remote
which is 6_806_80 (URC-881x_801x_601x).rdf
and i've got it in a directory name RDF and the path set to it.

can't find the RDF for my remote 8811.
tried to d/l from remote and its telling me no rdf for this remote
i've installed the RDF supplied from the site.

they were soldered together in the db25 but not into a connector at the other end.

never bothered with pin 1 and 2
let me jump them

built it using 4 wire from a cat5E wire
had no ribbon wire.
maybe i should try it with regular telephone wire.
i've seen cable done both ways.
using it on a canadian 8811b00 from the source

only errors from IR.exe
i've just built a parallel cable.
