JP1 Remotes

The GP565 includes flash according the block diagram on the product brochure. There seem to be a couple test points that aren't part of other traces--I will try to see if those are TTL UART. It appears to be made by UEI and uses the same codes.

So I was trying to migrate my older extender to the newer common jp1 extender. I deactivated the old extender (i think) and did a 981/980 reset to install the newer extender into the base config. Just want to close this topic--I discovered that the original problem of not being able to load the jp1serial 0.20 library went away once I upgraded to mac os 10.10 (yosemite). Maybe having a couple versions of java installed helped--not too sure--but it seemed to work even with apple java 1.6 ...
