Sorry for the run around guys, I was using Remote Master V2.11. Updated to V2.14.18 and everything worked fine converting the learned signals to the device upgrade.
Robman your upgrade worked also.
I did try the two different decoders before I posted initially, but with the old remote master ...

I have a OARUSB04G 4000 remote, which appears to have an incompatible processor (MAXQ610 series) with the Lasko upgrades in the files section. The learned signals work fine on the remote, just can't make a device upgrade as it maps to "F12" protocol that doesn't control the fan.

Yeh I saw the help pages and the help stuff on the setup page. It was my first time using the RC-5 and the RC-5x was the part that was confusing me. Since I have never used it RC-5x and didn't need to use it in this case, I was still getting confused by the RC-5x thinking I had to do something with ...

RC5 protocol - help making upgrade
Ok I have a device I learned the signals from. As far as I can tell IR would say the buttons were either device 0 or device 3. And the obc's would span from 0-63 and 64-xxx for both. So I made a KM upgrade with:
device 1 = 0
device 2 = 100
device 3 = 103
And then I would set the byte2 column to 0,1 ...

USB Cable and IR6.xx dont work; IR5.05 works fine
Ok I recently got a usb cable from diygadget.com. I downloaded the latest IR6.20, rdf's, and usb driver from the files section and installed them. I tried and kept getting an "SDA Being Held Low". These are the 2 posts I made over here: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5384

I am getting this same problem when using a USB cable with my RS-2116. I have tried using both a ati xpress200m laptop, and an nforce4 based desktop, with the same results. I have tried with batteries, without batteries, with some batteries in backwards, with old batteries, with freshly charge ni-cd ...

I am using the exact same setup as you. MythTV with a pvr-150 using the blaster from that to control the pansat 3500sd. The pansat 3500sd is still not supported in the windows driver for the pvr-150 blaster, so I also loaded up a firmware bin with alternate tivo codes. I think I used codeset 68 in ...
