thanks for taking the time to answer my questions!

i love my 2117. i only wish my kids didn't drop them and break the backlight. I think I went through all 5 I had bought during a clearance sale. other than that, it works flawlessly and my whole family knows how to use it.

Looks like I might as ...

State of the Union

Hi,

The last time I came here was:

You last visited on Sun Nov 27, 2005 6:42 pm

As you can see, it was almost two years ago.

I'm still using my trusty old RS-2117. Recently I bought a Toshiba HD-A2 and needed to reprogram the remote.

Amazingly, after dusting off the cowebs in my brain, I ...

Sort of figured it out. I found some Pronto Hex codes and then used the IRTool.exe to convert it.

Here is what converted to:

HDMI 1 081 233 68
HDMI 2 067 139 2E

I still don't know this protocol stuff too well to figure out on my own why I just couldn't use the original hex values. I now have to ...

Help with Samsung DLP device upgrade

I'm currently using Samsung HLN Series DLP TV.txt from the files section as the base to build my device upgrade. It is missing codes for hdmi1 and hdmi2.

I found this at avsforum:

Thxs. I was afraid of that. Aren't these addresses just offsets of the original? I was hoping I could just add a number in the spreadsheet and have it work up the protocol for me based on the original.

Maybe in a future version.

What is market value for the RS1994?

Hi,

Any idea what is the market value of these remotes? I pretty much replaced them with 2116/2117.

I think I have 3 of them I can get rid of. I checked ebay, but didn't see any of them for sale.

Seeing that a new 2116 is $30, I can part with the 1994 for $15 plus shipping? Is that reasonable?

I have one more question.

Is there anyway to make a macro into a function assigned to a key without taking up key move space?

In other words, can I create an upgrade device and map all the macro keys as one function and come up with an EFC for it? This way, the memory is taken up by the upgrade ...
