Yamaha CD upgrade file format?

Can anyone tell me how to load this upgrade file:
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... ile_id=167

It looks like raw hex data, and RM reports that it cannot load it.
Thanks

Thanks all.

Switching the HT-05 upgrade from the Combo protocol to the MIX Combo worked fine, after fixing the subdevice numbers. I now have two device upgrades sharing a single protocol upgrade, and saving some memory (to add more device upgrades).

Then, feeling confident, I looked at the other ...

Re: switching protocols

Thanks for all the help - I'll work on this over the weekend.

The VCR upgrade uses device 144 and sub-devices 0, 1, and 5, while the HT upgrade uses device no device number (are you sire this works on your system? Almost all of the other HT -tuners use device 160.) and subdevices 0, 4, and 20. As ...

Thanks - I'll see how far I can get.
The upgrades I'm trying to combine are:
Panasonic SC-HT05 https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=2077
Panasonic PV-V4520 https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=851
My remote is the ReplayTV 5k.
Thanks

switching protocols

I'm using the ReplayTV 5k extender, and have a Panasonic HT and a Panasonic VCR. The existing upgrade files for these use different protocols: Panasonic Combo for the HT and Panasonic MIX Combo for the VCR. Can I switch the protocol on one of the upgrades so that they both use the same and I can ...

ToadTogs with Replay 5k extender

Are ToadTogs possible with the 1.2 ReplayTV extender?
I read 'no' in an old Yahoo group posting, but then the extender ReadMe.txt mentions trouble shooting ToadTog problems.

Can anyone point me to a guide to setting up a ToadTog? I can find plenty of descriptions of what they are and what they do ...

Thanks everyone.
Good (for me :-) to hear it's a real a bug in Import and not just my misunderstanding.
Thanks for pointing out the Panasonic plain/combo difference.
I'm learning step-by-step here, so once I have the Device Combiner figured out, I'll try the Replay extender.

Same result for ReplayTV-5000.txt or any other device upgrade file I've tried. What file types does Import support?

My goal is to use ...

Device Combiner import working in RM?

I get a 'Device Upgrade Load Error' when importing any upgrade file from the Device Combiner tab in RM (v1.41 or v1.44), including upgrades saved by RM.
The error log has a screenful of 'Translator.in() index=0 missing parameter value' messages.
What kind of file is Import supposed to read?

I'm ...
