I'm in need of such tutorials. I'm totally in the wood on the special protocols!

I think there is a need for better tutorials on the use of protocol. The Special Functions Panel on IR has simplify the issues but the read mes in the protocols were written before this became available.
The tutorials for the beginners on the use of KM and RM and ir were very useful.

I installed the 8910 extender and programmed custome mode name, but I noticed that I need to press the device buttons twice to change device mode, did I do anything wrong?

Yes MediaGate MG-35 streams over wired lan to play any of the supported media. And it will stream from all pc withing the same network subnet. In addition if u pay $20 to ewaggle.com, it will also act as a NAS. However it does not have usb host functionality.

Thanks to everybody, with the explanation about the extender, I was able to fix the issues and I'm happy to announce that i'm contributing a small thing, the upgrade file for MediaGate MG-35 Multimedia Player for URC 8910. It is in the file section.

The panel for learned signals is missing from my ir. I attached my abbas.ir in the diagnosis area. Pls help, newbie.

Thanks Rob, I'm sorry if I have caused some disruptions. I had the cable but I just dont seem to know what to do. I could capture my remote but I dont know how to convert them to proper device code. I will continue to read the site and hope that I will find a good "Idiot's Guide" to JP1.
