Xsight Lite 10UKP brand new in the UK

Spotted this deal and ordered a couple for myself. The EZRC setup website no longer works but you can use RM to tweak things.

I agree they're the same... OK, done a bit of investigation. I was using the file Sky_Digibox_fullyworking_KM.txt as the basis for creating a Sky+ upgrade. If you load this into KM 8.44 and manually set the protocol you get:

Upgrade Code 0 = 07 37 (SAT/1847) Sky Digibox (KM v8.44)
20 00 BA 7E 08 ...

A huge thank you

I don't come here very often, (the last time was two years ago), but when I do I always find a solution to my problem very quickly. I've been a JP1er since the Yahoo Groups days, and the hard work of people on this forum have made my AV life great! I first used the name 'remoteneeded' on this forum ...

UPDATE: Using either the manual or RC6-M-20n protocol in KM 9.14 produces an upgrade that doesn't work with 8550. Using KM 8.44 and manually entering the same fixed data and it all works fine. A bug in KM?

All sorted! Fixed data of EC 00 does it. Frustratingly this is the data that KM came up with by selecting the RC6-M-20n protocol, but for some reason it didn't work when I tried it, (it works now!). All's well that ends well.

Thanks

OK I can now see why it's not working, I just can't work out how to fix it.

Within KM, when I load the Sky (not plus) upgrade, the Protocol Name goes to Manual, and the Device and Sub Device boxes disapear to be replaced with Device1, 2 & 3. I've tried various numbers in these boxes, but I can't ...

Tried it with sub device 12, still no joy. I'm going to go back to first principles, dig out my old Sky box and see whether or not I can control it. Now I've thought about it I got the Sky device upgrade from the One for All site, way back when, so it may be that the KM version I have is no good. I ...

This post may be too late for you, but I'll post this information to help others.

I agree that's it's probably a faulty electrolytic capacitor in the power supply. Here's two ways of finding the dead capacitor:

1/ The easiest way is to use an ESR meter. The great thing is that you can test the ...

Thanks for all your help as remote now works as I want it to. Following your advice, this is what I did:

One copy of the Sony20 protocol.
Most buttons covered with an upgrade that is Device Restricted.
Extra button covered with a Keymove that points to an upgrade that has every numerical button set ...

Thanks Capn Trips

I was just about to reply saying how you're wrong about the Sony20 protocol being in there twice as I knew I only needed it once, when I double checked, and it turns out you are correct! It must have crept in there when I was experimenting last night - a straight mistake on my ...

I'd forgotten that I'd tweaked the RDF a while ago to avoid these problems - I'll upload my version tonight.

I've tried making the second, (single button), upgrade device specific, but it doesn't work. The correct OBC/EFC is now outputted, but with the wrong device code.

I like your idea of ...

Thanks Rob

I have done what you've detailed above, but it still doesn't work. I've done some further experiments and there's certainly something stange going on.

Most buttons device = 1533 - 26/73
Extra button device = 1534 - 26/98

With 1534, if I set device button restriction to <All Devices> I ...

Sony DVD 2 sub device numbers

I'm nearly there with getting my Topline 8 to drive my Sony DVP-NS30 DVD player. Just one button does not work. The good news is I know why.

All buttons, bar one:
Main Device 26, Sub Device 73

This one button:
Main Device 26, Sub Device 98

Sony20 protocol

I've tried adding a separate device ...
