for a few keys it is easiest, if you have a second learning remote, to upload an upgrade. Then teach other remote. then either download from the second remote or teach first remote and download. This puts the buttons into generaly unused learn memory and can mix any number of devices.

for that price range the URC-8910($20.99) from buy.com or amazon.com it is practicaly the same as the 8810/8811, but has an LCD. the LCD dosen't do much, but it is nice to be able to see what device it is on and easy to go through the setup menu. no counting the LED blink sequence to see what codes ...

I wish I could say it worked, but it has the same problem as before. The transmit LED is extreamly dim and no infrared signals are sent out. URC8910 device specific macros?
Is it possible to make macros under a specific device instead of the macro being global? Especially without an extender?
I don't think it is possible, but I thought I would put it out there and see if I'm wrong
