Thanks, mdavej, this was very helpful in setting up my 15-2104 to work with a VSX-43.
When I learned codes from the remote to my 2104, many decoded as pairs with different device, OBC combinations. The Pioneer spreadsheet shows almost all of them are one device two OBC combos.

And just like that it works....THANKS!
I don't follow exactly what is going on here so I have some studying up to do.
It reminds me of the old line that with 2 wheel drive, you can go off the road and into the woods, but not so far a tow truck can't pull you back out. With 4 wheel drive you can go ...

I hadn't seen the combo thread, so I went looking. I see you uploaded a combo Friday based on a UEI combo. I'll watch closely!
So on the 5000, yes the volume key is sending a signal (red flashing light + camera trick both confirm). I downloaded from the remote and compared it to what I had uploaded ...

VPT problem with a Replay5000 extender
I just started working with the Replay 5000 1.2 extender and have a threshold problem. I'm not having success with the remote controlling my Denon AVR-787 receiver at all.
Step 1. I have a RS 2104 working my setup just fine. I opened the upgrade file it uses in RM, changed the remote to the 1.2 ...

There is an upgrade for the new 12 button Roku remote that has been uploaded here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=9048
The 12 button remote uses a different device code altogether (234.194), but all the boxes seem to respond to either the old 9 button remote code ...

The Mad Catz HDMI switcher was a gizmo (I don't think Mad Catz makes them anymore) that was styled to snap onto a PS3. I picked it up at a Gamestop on clearance for $20. It would do three things:
1. It was an IR receiver that plugged into a PS3 USB port and passed many Sony DVD codes to the PS3. I ...

Tool for opening the case
I recently replaced the battery in my iPod with a kit from ipodjuice.com that included an extremely effective tool for cracking open the case. The basic principle is similar to the most excellent instructions Tommy Tyler posted, except that one half is metal and there are things poking through to be ...

Thanks. I used the 4-device Emerson Combo and built a simple upgrade for just the discrete inputs. I got fixed data of 00 4B 00 00 though, and the input keys don't function correctly, so I have to fiddle some more with that.

Need help moving custom protocol from 1994 to 10820
I'm in the process of moving over the setup I have for my 15-1994 to a URC-10820. One of the device upgrades I have is for my Maxent TV, which uses a combination of Emerson and Sampo codes. I've used the upgrade here http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=1141
