9960, yes I am asking on this

Hello John,

Yes I put this in the subject. Curious how the 9960 works
with it's button display.

Ken

Ken, you seem to be asking about the 9960 in reply to Rob's post about the 9910.

Am I misunderstanding you, or did you misread a digit in Rob's post and/or in the "JP1 chart" you mentioned?

URC-9960 Kameleon

This remote looks interesting. Do I understand this remote to only
light up or make visiable the buttons which are used for that particular
device? I like the idea.

Is this remote a battery eater? My JP1 listing states it does not
have a JP1 connector but it does have pads to add the pins.

8910 the choice remote

So for around $20 the 8910 sounds like the remote of choice.

I also heard about a IR/UHF remote too.

Where can you get these locally?

Besides the internet, I have not seen them at WalMart in
some time. What other dept stores sell them?

What happens to existing codes after writing to remote

When a remote is new it comes pre-programed. If I add a device lets say to the SAT of the remote, what happens to all the existing codes available to the SAT ? Does the new code and it's hex values delete all the other codes?

I was just curious for example if I no longer need the new device I have ...

Re: need a refesher course

Spent some time refreshing my short term memory. I was
able using Keymaster to take an existing file, mod it in Keymaster
to work with the 8810 and load it into IR>EXE then into the remote.
Works.

need a refresher course

I use the software maybe once every couple years and when I do I can't remember exactly what I need if I want to upgrade my remote 8810.

If I can find the upgrade file what other program do I need to load it into my remote. I get confused with all the different programs, KM,RM,IR. I would like to ...
