Maybe I said it wrong .... :)
Someone, a long time ago, created devices for my 2 TiVos using IR remote code (unit code?) 1 and IR remote code 2 for my 6131.
#1 was device code 2001 setup as DVD/VCR device
#2 was device code 2002 setup as DVD/VCR device
They were both identical but 1 is ...

Re: glad it worked!
:) No problem .... just struck me funny. I wonder what else is in the no-no list.
On another note, thank you very much for making this very valuable resource available.
I can't believe the word "suck" is verbotten here.
Actually, I didn't know that it was, so I deleted that restriction.

Re: glad it worked!
I can't believe the word "svck" is verbotten here. Replacing it with another word is funny as h3ll, er, heck. And NO dammmmit, it's not backlit. If it was it would be the (almost) perfect control. Buttons are too small as well. My vision had deteriorated to.

MegaThanks usblipitor
You are da man! Thank you so much for your help. The older model device loaded and worked 95%. A couple minor key assignments later and now it's better then free Viagra. Your step-by-step made it simple even for simple minded me. It proves how valuable resources like this board are.

Problem is, I am virtually clueless when it comes to all this JP1 stuff. I tried reading the FAQ but I guess my ADD or Alzheimers is kicking in. I find all but the most basic stuff above my head. I only got it because I have 2 TiVo's and needed to control them both from the same 6130 and someone set ...

The DVD does NOT work with 0490. The only function that works under 0490 is MENU, nothing else. My 6131 only has: 0490, 0632, 1362, 1462 and 1490 under DVDs in the manualand NO PANASONIC AT ALL under DVD/VCR combo. I tried the 1762 and it wasn't accepted.

6131 "add new code" question
I have the URC6131 and it's been working great up until I swapped out my Toshiba DVD for a Panasonic PV-D4743 combination DVD/VCR.
The VCR side works fine but NONE of the DVD codes will work.
I called the "One for All" folks and they said I need a code 1762 which isn't in my device and I have to ...
