Thanks for all of this info. I didn't realize any of them accepted RF. Of course, up to this point I've only purchased sticks, so that doesn't help me there. I will need to figure out how to handle if there aren't remotes that would work for RF.

JP1 Capable remote that can control Roku via RF?

Apologies if this has been answered before, but a search didn't turn anything up. I'm wondering whether there are any JP1 capable remotes on the market that could also control a Roku via RF in addition to controlling the rest of my hardware via IR.

Suggestions on how to configure remote for new TCL Roku TV?

I haven't done anything with JP1 for a while because I haven't changed hardware in a while. Yesterday, I bought a new TCL Roku TV, so I need to do a bit of remote reprogramming. (first I have to find my JP1 cable!)

Through my cable provider, I have these remotes: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums ...

Thanks for all of your help. Unfortunately, the EFC are not being accepted. I will just need to remember to bring my JP1 cable next time I come for a visit.

It has been a long time since I've done JP1 stuff (my personal remotes haven't had to change in a few years). Is it possible to use advance codes without a cable for programming?

Thanks. TV Code 0463 does give basic power and volume, so that is at least a start

As another option, are there any other decent remotes (JP1 or otherwise) that would be able to act as a Roku TV remote as well as a Motorola Cable TV STB controller?

I will ask her, but I'm guessing she is not going to be up for anything like that. She does pretty well with her computer given her age, but somehow I doubt she would want to go through with programming her remote :D

The remote does not seem like it will accept any setup codes that are longer than 4 digits?

Thanks Rob. I was afraid of that being the case. Not sure when I will next have a chance to reprogram this remote, so she will just need to juggle two remotes until then.

Thanks,
Craig

1056B04 + TCL Roku TV

I'm helping my mom set up her new TCL Roku TV (model S425xxx) and was hoping to set up her local cable box remote control (UEI 1056B04) to handle the TV. However, I've been unable to find any TV code that seems to work at all with this TV. Unfortunately, I'm at my mom's house and do not have my JP1 ...

I will look into whether there is a bug in RMIR, but I suggest that you edit the RDF so that the Device Types and Device Buttons sections read:

[DeviceTypes]
Cable = 0,0
TV = 1,1
Audio = 2,2
DVD = 3,3
DVD = 3,3
Cable = 0,0
Cable = 0,0
Cable = 0,0

[DeviceButtons]
STB=$09 0
TV=$01 0
AUD=$11 0
DVD ...

Thanks for taking a look Rob. You are correct about what upgrade I'm (trying to) use.

In terms of the sub device, I didn't change that, so it must have been created that way? Not sure why that would have happened, but I can tweak it as you suggest. In terms of the keymoves, I know that I selected ...
