Re: Topline 8, RDF/IR problem?

(3) Problem with key translation in IR/RDF
As part of (1) I setup a timed macro. In the Image I can see the sequence. $1C $14 $0C $1D $15 $0D $1E $06 $0E, which relates to the macro of 1;2;3;4;5;6;7;8;9 I put in. These also appear to relate to the values in the buttons section of the RDF. However ...

Re Pacific,

If I can find the file I have it working on the URC7562 and am trying to alter it for the Topline.

Its made by Schneider, but the codes you can download do not operate it.

Will keep you informed

<EDIT>

I have uploaded the KM file that works on my 7562 to the JP1 files area

At last - after months of hair pulling

About 9 months ago you all kindly helped me sort out problems with programming the URC8550.

One problem remained until now.

When loading data into IR (All versions), if I went to devices the button names would be corrupted (ie buttons would be named '(', ')', and 'T8')

I think I have sorted this ...

Simple (?) answer could be:
Buy a cheap (8Mb) USB Drive, and one of them small USB hubs about the size of a telephone adaptor. Plug your USB interface and Drive into the hub. Bind the whole lot together with some heatshrink tubing.
Voila! your all in one portable interface/toolkit - It may not look ...

3. THe 8550 has some weird issues with some device modes, so changing the assigned device button was necessary.

The 8550 has some wierd issues - Full Stop!!

It is still advertised over here as one of the 'flagship' range of remotes - Yet it does not have a built-in device for SKY Digital - the ...

When trying to send shifted functions, have you tried pressing the MAGIC instead of SHIFT?
If I set a macro in Shift-1, I have to press magic-magic-1 to run it

I have found you only need to set up restrictions if the device you are defining is not using one of the built-in protocols, but is using a protocol you have pasted in from KM.

In the restrictions box, you have to select the device button you have assigned the device to operate from (not the device ...

Ha Ha,

Rather than wait for Yahoo, I have reassigned the AUX1/AUX2 buttons in my original file and things seem to be mapped OK on a quick test - will test it further tonight.

Just hope that I haven't caused any unnecessary alterations to RDFs etc because of what appears to have been a mistake by ...

No guys, still no joy.
I will post a table showing exactly what is programmed onto each button, and what is actually sent to each button once the upgrade file is sent to the remote.
It may take a while to do though

Sorry I've not got back to you all earlier, but I wil test both Gregs code and the new version of RM as soon as I get back from taking the kids to school - its a lot easier to concentrate/work without 6 little terrors trying to 'Help'.

Is this me, or is it an RDF problem?

I am not sure if it is me doing something wrong or if there is a problem with the RDF file.

I am using RM 0.94 (just started using instead of KM) and latest RDF's to try and program an upgrade for my 8550.

It works OK, but seems to map the transport keys to the wrong keys (ie the PLAY function is ...

As for combining the device upgrade sections, you have the ability to re-arrange the borders of these sections by editing the RDF. I think Jason has done that before so maybe he can jump in here and help you with it.
That would be very useful if he could.

I am sure that even though it is a ...
