RMIR on Ubuntu 12.04 Exception in thread "main" ja
So I had some issues getting RMIR to recognize Parallel port on this machine but got all that sorted our nicely, uploading and downloading from remotes, everything working great.
I go to terminal, change to directory the extracted files live:
Now when I do
sudo bash rmir.sh
It returns

I am using the latest, RemoteMaster v2.03 Alpha 28. Remote is 9910B01. Interface is one I bought from here, I believe a few years ago. DB25 4 conductor ribbon, and 6 pin. Never can remember which direction to put it onto remote, but have tried it both ways.
Maybe this is parallel port, add-in card ...

No Remote Found
I got RMIR up and running on Ubuntu 12.04. I cannot get it to see the remote. No matter what address, auto or fixed it says no remote found. Where to look for a solution to this?

Adding Upgrade from URC
I have a 9910B01. First, how do I know whether that is 9910(new) or 9910(old) in RemoteMaster.
I have a Onkyo TX-8522, 0135 did not work, so I got URC to send me wav file with 1225 and 1805, which both work. I put that in remote through speaker, and it controlled receiver, but blew out my settings ...

Folks, I feel like an idiot, but maybe someone will have the same problem and maybe they won't have to embarrass themselves.

Signature does not match in IR
I bought a parallel JP1 cable to work with my OFA 8810. I don't think IR is recognizing what remote it is. After Download from Remote, nothing shows up in General tab. Raw data does get filled up and it shows signature 6_806_80.
When I try to upload to remote (right after download), it warns ...
