Recreate RCU810 on OFA8811

Hey all, I purchased a Samsung SIR-T351 HDTV receiver without a remote, but I have an OFA8811 and a JP1 cable as well as the RM upgrade file for the T351, which is meant for a RCU810 remote. How would I go about loading up the 8811 with this information?

The DBNA Image I'm using has like 6 files in the same directory with all sorts of wierd codes,

rcdm7000.xml
rcdboxold.xml
keymappings.xml
rcdreambox_inputdev.xml
rcdreambox_keyboard.xml

the rcdm7000 seems to prefix codes with 54?

OT: Dreambox 7000s 1.09 Images

Does anyone know how to convert 1.08 rcdm7000.xml files to work with the files in the new 1.09 images? Basically what changed with the key and code defs for 1.09?

Dreambox 7000s Commands on the MX-500

A while ago with the help of folks on this forum I managed to get the MX-500 to learn from the Dreambox 7000s v3 Remote. I finally got around to fixing the last major commands so I thought I'd upload the files for others to use:

Really? That'd be pretty sweet, although are you sure they have a catch-all policy? This seems like a somewhat obscure German machine currently.

Yeah the file only allows you to specify the hex commands, I suppose the source may allow further changes unless it's a chipset that's doing all the decoding.

But I just bought the MX-500 and it was three times the cost of the 8811! Plus I dig the LCD named buttons. I've edited the XML file on the Dreambox ( which as johnsfine suspected does actually work for plugins, the important ones at least ) I've swapped the commands which the MX-500 couldn't learn ...

Having a look at the codes, these are the non-functioning ones ( dashes indicate working codes, dash arrow indicates functions as )

Yeah I'd read about that file, there are a number of problems though. The Dreambox is based on open source images, these images all work a little different hence upgrades would probably invalidate this file which isn't so bad, bigger problem is a lot of Dreambox functionality is based on plugins ...

Okay, after this latest upgrade the Dreambox remote no longer works but somewhat as intended, when the ON is learned onto the MX-500 the ON button works as Channel Up ( or Down, Prev or Next ), when learned onto the 8811 from the Dreambox remote does nothing, when learned onto the MX-500 then the ...

Remote still worked after the new protocol but the issue is the same, the 8811 learns it and works, the MX-500 does not, here's an IR where the 8811 has learned from the Dreambox remote on L1 and L2 and learned second hand from the MX-500 on L3 and L4,

Just for a lark I tried getting the MX-500 to learn the code from the 8811, ie,

Dreambox ON > 8811 > MX-500

Didn't work, but I didn't dump the results either since that would've maybe been silly,

Dreambox ON > 8811 > MX-500 > 8811

Hehe, probably would've been useless data at that point.
