The "Yamaha combo special 4" is a device upgrade for JP1 posted some time ago and what I used. I was able to use Chico Woodhill's spreadsheet to determine the the correct OBC, which allowed me to add HDMI5 to the "Yamaha combo special 4". Now everything is working. Thanks for the help. Time for me ...

15-2116 Alternative

I've been lucky in keeping my RS 15-2116 setup going all these years, but my last one is failing me by draining batteries at an inordinate rate, so I'm in need for a replacement. Does anyone have any suggestions. I like the look and hand-feel of my 15-2116, so something with the same sense of ...

That was it. Thanks for the help. Now if I can just get my receiver to do the HDCP handshake correctly, I can get sound working without having to power cycling my receiver.

Broken 15-2116ex2 Build

I recently decided to rebuild my 15-2116ex2 remote as I'd run out of upgrade space. I added each component to the remote and everything seems to work, but I've noticed that a couple of buttons now cause the remote to reset. An example of this is VCR-->Info. This was working correctly before I ...

Yes, there are only 6 buttons. This may work on a computer, but as a consumer device integrated into a home theater setup it's a bit unusable. Buttons are overloaded, so when it's remapped to my 2116 it doesn't match any other consumer device with a menu system. If I'm going to keep the AppleTV, I'm ...

Yea, I was able to get that information as well, but when I put it into RemoteMaster and then import the device to my remote, it doesn't work.

Apple TV

Hi all,
I'm a bit stuck. I'm able to learn the codes from my Apple TV and use them with my spare 2116, but when I try to create a device with the learned codes, I can't seem to get it to work. I've made the IR learned codes file available at:
http://www.samuraipanda.com/appletv.ir

Any help is ...

MCE Upgrade Sluggish

Hi All,
I've been using the latest upgrade (Dec/2004) from the files section to control my MCE 2005. I've noticed that with my 15-2116 commands aren't always caught by the MCE box. I see the MCE infrared receiver flash, but MCE ignores the command. With the MCE remote all the actions are caught ...

There is a Mac port (http://darwine.opendarwin.org/) underway for wine, but it's not working yet.

A better solution (IMO) is to expand RemoteMaster to include IR functionality, which would give a single, unified application for multiple operating systems.

I have a Sony TV that takes a bit of time to come up. I tried to figure out how to get my system into Tivo mode with the long TV power on, without finding a good, reliable solution that worked fast.

Then I had an epiphany. I realized that a more elegant solution was to set everything to Tivo mode ...

Media Center Extender for the Xbox

I've created a RemoteMaster upgrade for the Media Center Extender for the Xbox. I took one of the Xbox DVD kits and expanded it to include the Media Center Extender codes that I found at:
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=308938&hl=extender+remote

I tried uploading to the JP1 Yahoo ...
