I have turned on the USB port on my LG TV using the hack in another link here. So I decided to create an upgrade for my remote (Remote is an 8810 signature 6_806_80) with key moves for the FFW REW play keys etc.

These all work except the FFW key move which for some reason when in TV mode and FFW ...

Did anybody buy one of these? I am a bit suspicious as they are new and have sold over 21. I suspect they are Chinese fakes (coming from Hong Kong) also the picture has the doughnut ring.

Now this is strange I have managed to get it working with a different protocol. It is working perfectly with the Audiovox protocol and the same fixed data of 57.

I managed to find this as I also have a 7562 remote that I have a wav file for daewoo vcr's I noticed that the working one on the 7562 ...

Sort of it appears to toggle if I hold down a button. i.e. if i was on channel 1 and then press and hold 2 the vcr display flashes between 1 and 2. I can only get the orginal remote or my 8910 to to this if i toggle button 2

Thanks rob. I tried the protocol upgrade but it hasn't worked still takes multiple key presses before vcr responds.

I have upgraded a 6131nw remote and I am now converting over all my devices from an 8910 to the 6131.
They are all working fine apart from one for a Daewoo VCR.
The protocol works fine in the 8910 with the VCR responding to key presses instantly.
However when I upload the file to the 6131 the ...

One of my 8910 remotes which was constantly resetting itself for no reason now appears to have died. It does not seem to work at all. I have tried new batteries etc. The strange thing is that it will respond to uploading or downloading with IR. Screen shows reset after uploading etc.
