I tried modifying the RDF file for the 8060 to read EepromSize=$800 but still get the same error message "Jp12 read failed -1" when trying to download.
I also then tried changing the next few lines which seem to refer to memory addresses to match the URC-8040:-
AdvCodeAddr=$018..$0FF
UpgradeAddr ...

URC-8040 OK but URC-8060 Read Failed - I wonder why?
Hello, I wonder if anyone can shed any light on the following please?
I am using ir.exe 8.04 on my Windows 7 64-bit desktop. I'm using a flash JP1.2/3 cable and a JP1 USB to EEPROM adapter. (Both from Tommy Tyler.) In ir.exe I have the interface set to JP1.x and when I click on Check Interface I ...

URC-8040 Euro 4 device Kameleon Maps "Fix"
Hi,
Not sure where (or even whether) I should post this small "fix" but here goes.
The ".map" files for the URC-8040 Euro Kameleon have the location of the Volume and Channel buttons incorrectly "swapped".
The current released map files (version 1.32) have:-
circle VOL+ 31,209 42,220
circle VOL- 31 ...

I suppose the key is that KM offers the NEC 2DEV for the URC-8206 without creating a protocol upgrade to go with it?
For what it's worth (and probably very obvious to those who know what they're doing), I went back to KM out of interest and changed the protocol name from NEC 2DEV Combo to NEC 4DEV ...

Toshiba TV Upgrade works with URC-8060 but not with URC-8206
Hi, I have learned all the buttons from my new Toshiba TV (42VL863) and created a device upgrade which works fine in my URC-8060 1st Gen UK Kameleon.
When I then modify the upgrade to use it with my URC-8206 2nd Gen UK Kameleon, it does not work correctly. Some of the buttons operate the wrong ...

Hi Vickyg2003, Sorry... my mistake!
You're right of course, the signature I get in IR.exe is 11431143, and I had indeed found that RDF a while ago. I got confused between the "RDF" and the "Maps and Images" files and I never put the "11431143 (URC-8305 Kameleon).rdf" in the correct directory on my ...

URC-8305 Kameleon UK...... Can't find RDF for it?
Hi, I have managed to open up my URC-8305 Kameleon (UK), and can get IR.exe to "Download from remote" using JP1.x USB-Serial interface.
However, I can't use KM or RM to create any device upgrades because I can't find an RDF file for this remote.

KM Does not show URC 8040 (Euro Kameleon) in remotes list
Hi, My Keymap Master does not show my remote in the list of remotes in Cell C2. I have the latest RDF's including the remote in question "EKA4EKA0 (URC-8040 4 Device Kameleon).rdf" Is there a way that I can add this remote to the list? (The list of remotes in KM does not seem to be dependent upon ...

Upon further review..... when the LG TV is turned off, if I set the URC-7550 remote to operate the Bush Freesat box then ANY button I press on the remote turns on the TV.
With the URC-7550 remote set to operate the Bush I've tried pressing "Magic" followed by any random combination of three numbers ...
