I have some similar issues with my URC-9911(9910). I don't know if the problems are caused by the RF base vs. infrared, or the extender 1, or some hardware, device-related issues.

I think it might be something with the Scientific Atlanta 2200 cable box. When entering channel numbers directly, I ...

Just curious : URC-9911(9910) Home Theater button

Hi!

Just out of curiosity... What is everyone using the Home Theater device button for? With JP1, do you still use it the way it was intended to in the first place?

I don't use the HT button. Using extender 1, I programmed macros on the device buttons that switches inputs, volume and channel ...

You are right about what I am trying to do.

I want to control one device or the other, using the same physical buttons on the remote.

Also, I am using the 9910 extender, as you can see per my SET_CHAN_KEYS and SET_VOL_KEYS sequences.

Thanks!

Thank you for the very informative replies, Rob, Capn and gfb. I understand better now that I read your posts!

A lot of problems I am experiencing with JP1 are implementation issues : I do not know what the best way of doing things is all the time.

I will try this :

-Turn VPT off
-Define a SAT ...

Disabling VPT on URC-9911(canadian 9910)

Hi!

I've been using a pretty generic setup for a while. Yesterday, i've decided to run a cable to my home office so my Scientific Atlanta cable box feeds two different TVs. Using RF, I can control the cable box from any room.

I'd like to control the volume on this older Sony TV (code 0000) i've ...

Hi!

I've chosen to leave the cable box on all the time. Maybe it's the infrared/RF (URC-9910) signals that were conflicting and the cable box wouldn't deal with the power toggle properly.

Hmmm, where would I find those Discreteon and Discreteoff buttons? In RM? I thought I had to use phantoms ...

That makes perfect sense. :D

I've been having a hard time setting my URC-9910 up to turn on and turn off my Scientific Atlanta 2000 cable box with all-on/all-off macros. Sometimes it reacts, sometimes not. I might just leave it on all the time, then.

Thanks for your replies! I'm getting there...

Assuming I removed the generic Phantom1 macro that calls all the SET_* commands, would these two macros be the most efficient way to turn everything on and off?

M1 : DEV_TV; SET_OTHER_KEYS; Shift-Phantom1 (discrete on); DEV_RCVR; SET_OTHER_KEYS; power ...

Hi Nils,

Thanks. I've started playing with the Extender 1 and i'm having fun learning all about it. Having a hard time with the VPT, TPT and so on, i'm still experimenting.

URC-9910 Extender 1 : Cannot shift-phantom1 to turn on TV

Hi!

I've switched from the RCU810 to the URC-9910. I'm almost completely set, using Extender 1.

I've chosen to remove the Phantom1 macro that's there by default when you enable the extender. This means that I need to "activate" the keysets (transport, chan, other...) before I actually program the ...

Assigning macros to device buttons on URC-9910

Hi!

Although i've been using a RCU810 for a while, I purchased a URC-9910 as a backup.

I'm trying to assign macros to device buttons, liked I used to do it with the RCU810 extender 2.

In IR, in the MACROS panel, I am not sure how to do it. I see there are some new DEV_DB08, DEV_DB09 entries that ...

RCU810 : successful mimic of Harmony remotes!

Hi there guys!

For the last few weeks, i've been tring to learn about the extenders that are available for the RCU810. I pretty much nailed down everything, but I got to say that the docs for the extenders are not that easy to understand.

If anyone needs help on how to get their RCU810 extender ...

Hi!

Would you have the kindness to post the more complete discrete codes for the Hitachi Ultravision you were talking about? I own the Ultravision 42v515 myself.

Thanks!
