Well, the huge protocol seemed to be the only one that worked..

I'll try again. Thanks for your help.

I understand the confusion. When you're digging into a problem, you somehow expect others to know what you've run into and the hassle involved. I'm sorry about that...

Anyway, I posted my IR file right here:

iMon revisited

A while back, I asked Rob to create a device upgrade for an Soundgraph/iMon proprietary protocol. The complete history is here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4626&

Rob succeeded, and I am still very happy with his efforts:

There is something strange about this protocol. When I press a button on the remote, the signal gets sent twice. This is not something which I can fix by fiddling with the delay byte.

I need Rob's upgrade because the UIE supplied iMon upgrade is no good for the Device Combiner.

Any clues?

Here is what I did with my 5-year old URC 7562:
1) open the case
2) take out the board that holds all electronic components
3) put all the plastic and rubber parts in a hot water with a few drops of dishwashing liquid
4) dry in the oven at 50 degrees centigrade.

and your remote will feel as if it ...

Update:
I managed to find and modify an upgrade for the Samsung DCB-P850R. The protocol is 015C.

The other positive thing is that Binky123 has modified this protocol to include the HCS08 code.

That means I'm out of the woods for a while.

These threads were very useful to me:

Anyone familiar with the Samsung36 protocol?

Yesterday, my brand new Samsung cable decoder arrived, a DCB-B270R.

Of course, I want to control this device with my OFA, so I started learning most keys.

IR (decoder 2.36) decodes the signal as being Samsung36.

This protocol is not present in KM and RM, so I'm kind of stuck now.

Please advise.

Unable to add Pioneer DVD protocol (007E) to device combiner

Hi,

For a few years I have been the happy owner of a URC-7560. One of the device upgrades is a device combiner which combines RC5 and Pioneer DVD protocol.

A few days back I ordered a URC-10820 and I would very much like to port my upgrades to that new remote. So I started working with KM (v9.12 ...

Perhaps a strange question...
Is it possible to:
load an upgrade for a URC-10820 (which is not modem-upgradeable) into a URC-7560?

That way, the 7560 functions as a sort of temporary storage for the upgrade.

Edit:
It works!

I've ordered two URC-10820's and would very much like to use these to control my HTPC.

However, the upgrades mentioned in this thread are based on the S3C8 processor. What would I need to do to load the upgrade in the URC-10820?

Edit:
Thanks to Binky123, the upgrade is ported to HCS08. See the ...

Just to clarify: the link in my previous posting was only to help you guys perfecting the Power signal.

So, if the ski-slopes are closed and you can fnd a few minutes.....

And you're all doing this work Pro Deo. Truly amazing!
What would be the best way to thank you guys?

IMPORTANT UPDATE (i think)

I stumbled across the Silverstone Website. They have actually put together some sort of guide on how to compose the IR signals:

Doing some extended tests, I found out this:

it doesn't always work....Can't get my finger behind this:
- Plug in the power cord, press the Power button of the device upgrade -> computer wakes up.

- Put the computer in Hibernation -> it doesn't wake via the device upgrade, but it does wake with ...
