I finally figured out how to do this simple protocol and it's here .
This puts out the exact same signal as the OEM remote accoridng to my testing. sbird, after saving your existing configuration in IR, do a 981 reset and load only this device AND protocol upgrade and give it a try. If that works ...

My guess is that it may be sending out commands to turn on other JVC gear. If you go to DVD input for example, it not only sets it's input but turns on the JVC DVD player, too. IIRC, that's the only time we have seen the JVC-48 protocol. The point being that you may not need the JVC-48 protocol to ...

Re: Deleting Keys from remote
I have 2 devices that the buttons don't work as expected (or as I want) on my RCU810.
Issue 1: My amplifier is a Yamaha RX-V850, and my remote has the codes for it (0193). I do not use any of the ProLogic decoding, and want to disable those functions on the 810 ... Or is there another easier way ...

I would look in the files and start with the AVR500 and see how close it is. They don't always use the same commands in all models but that is a start. You could also try any of the HK files. IIRC, there are one or two that use the device combiner and I would avoid those at least for the time being ...

I just posted a new device and protocol upgrade based on the learned commands. I have assigned very few keys in the buttons tab and it is set for a 6131 PVR remote but if you are using the extender you apparently select a different remote type in the setup tab, cell C2, "6131 PVR Extender".

Which of the last two repeating protocols worked better, if you can tell?
I still haven't figured out a good way of getting a longer gap between the first and second frame (the make key and the first repeat.) It probably needs another 70 mS for a total of 200mS. I think that short first gap is the ...
