JP1 Remotes

Ok! I just uploaded the IR device to the diagnosis area

Basically I have the channel up and down button working, but some keystrokes wont learn correctly. Like the number zero.

I have power ...

wohoooo! It learned! The quick tap of the keyboard was the key

So now that it works, is there a very high chance of using the JP1 method to totally program it?

I just picked up an 8810w, which is a clone of 8811, but for some reason, I can not get the remote to learn any of the keyboards.

I am following the directions in the manual. I tried hitting the keyboard button fast, tried holding it down, tried tapping it, nothing :-\

Maybe I am doing something ...

I was going to buy a One for All in the store once I know that it is possible that it will work and probably buy a JP1 cable from you if you sell them seperatly without a remote :wink:

Ok, I just emailed the guy. We will see what he says in reply to my email. I asked him everything you told me to ...

I can email Lite-On and ask. What should I ask for? The protocol for it?

I talked to Lite-On and got them to send me an excel sheet with the IR signals for the buttons.

well, the Lite-on people got back to me on my receiver question, this is what they answered

he F/W of SK-7550 and SK-7551 is different. It can't use same receiver for this two both model.


So I dont know if I can use the JP1 airboard remote. How would I know the signals to mine to use in the JP1 ...

I did some digging and my receiver is SK-7550R, which is the same receiver as the Airboard model which works. So I am guessing that mine will work as well even though the model number is 7551, it uses the same receiver.

As long as it will definately work with my Lite-On IR receiver for my keyboard/mouse.

I can see the IR keystrokes when using girder, so I guess I can put them in the remote using JP1

What state are you in? So if I order, I will know how long it should take

I wouldnt mind trying them. I couldnt find the lil JP1 connector though

I am trying to find a remote less than 30 to work with my Lite-On keyboard, model SK7551. I got a Philips DVD6 remote, but it doesnt learn anything so I am going to have to bring it back. Learned from my tv remote like it should, but not from my IR keyboard
