Just a heads up... Walmart seems to be putting these remotes on clearance to clear them out. Was able to grab an extra for $4.

So you're trying to combine some learns from the A/C with one upgrade, right? Which upgrade are you trying to use and which buttons do you want the A/C functions on, I may try to do it for you over the weekend.

Absolutely. Open your original "programmed" ir file, go to the Learned tab, click on a learned signal and click EDIT, there you'll see the button in Pronto Hex format. Copy/paste this and save it, then open your new rmir file, the one with your new upgrade in it, and back on the Learned tab, click ...

I will test this out later and report back my findings. Need more batteries for my other remotes to figure out what the less used function buttons (like Digital/Analog, Guide, i-Manual) does compared to the original remote.

Code 980 doesn't seem to reset. I did a POWER search, dump, Code 980, dump and compared the results and they were identical.


Most of the re-programmed buttons work. Input button isn't working.
Few of the Logitech input isn't working or they have different function.

Alright... I think 980 works. I get 4 blinks on the power button afterwards. 981 doesn't seem to work.

There's an error in the manual. The green and yellow buttons seems to work for code reprogramming, but they're the middle two buttons as opposed to the outside two buttons shown in the diagram ...

@The Robman, alright got some batteries so I can work on it this weekend. I'm trying to understand, it doesn't matter what function I reprogram the buttons to, all that matters is the order to learn the button layout/codes.

@SleepyBum, I am working on the RDF but it's proving tricky, so it might take a while. In the meantime, you could help me get the button codes. It appears this remote supports learning, so could you use it to learn the functions from one of your other remotes?

I've used RMIR to program my Charter OCAP 1060BC3 long time ago, so I haven't touched it since. Setup with 3 devices, Sony TV, Logitech speakers, and a Haier A/C. Volume punch through for the speakers and some macros, discrete inputs.

I was hoping for an easy way to reprogram it with RMIR without using the 975 code learning. I have the codes from my other JP1 remote 1060BC3. I think it's a nice small remote with a clean layout.
