Problem solved! Protocol analyzer doesn't work with IRA-3 but does work with IRA-2, which I also have - so now I am happily customizing my 8550 with all my codes.

Getting info using IRA-3
I am definately a beginner with JP1, however I've built a working interface for my URC-8550 Topline with HT. My problem is that I built a HTPC and use a learning remote to operate it all (through IRA-3) but do not have the original RC's that I used. Unfortunately the learning remote is not JP1 ...
