And I've uploaded the working mdu file at https://hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php ... e_id=14023
Hopefully it'd be useful for someone.

Never mind. I made the same dump mistake I made couple of years ago. These cheap android boxes send the actual code only once as soon as you press the key, and then keep sending ditto. And while learning I pressed key on oem remote first then on jp1. So all jp1 remote got was those dittos and was ...

Unknown protocol of learned keys
Using RCRP05B I learned keys for MiniMX Android box. But I can't use learned keys directly since Both IR and RM are unable to decode the protocol and I'm using RCRP05B extender which removes the support for learned key. I read some of the information here about decoding/building protocol, but most ...

Never mind
Never mind, I just realized that my learned keys do not work. Searched file section and found upgrade for MX2 at https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=12402. Which worked with my box as well.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

CMX Android Box
I learned all the signals from the remote that came with CMX Android Box using RCRP05B. IR file has been uploaded to https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=12946

On second thought, It probably would be easier to hack the echostar firmware and replace the code for a similiar existing VCR to the required code for DVR. Assuming the IR codes in the firmware are not compressed, Is there an easy way to look for the IR codes in a binary file?. I mean is there some ...

Any DVD recorder using same codes as VCR?
I'm looking for any DVD recorder which uses the same codes as any VCR. The reason being, I have echostar DP301 sat reciever which comes with built-in IR blaster and it has all the codes for most of the available VCR. I can set the event timers to record any of the show to the VCR. And I'd like to ...

My bad about LCD and backlight. Its just that today I read about so many remotes, got kinda out of sync.
From the bedroom to living room, RF won't need to go through any metal or mirror. It'd just be drywall and ceiling. So I guess, I shouldn't have any problem there.
About RF interferance, do you ...

Robman, thanks for the response.
I'd using it in the bedroom on 2nd floor and the equipments are in living room 1st floor. The distance between the two is around 25-30 meters (if measured through the ceiling).
I'm from Canada and RadioShack Canada does not carry 15-2117 model. But as I can see, you ...

RF link performance for 9910/9912
I'm planning on buying an URC 9910/9912, mainly because it's the only JP1 remote with built-in RF link. I like the JP1 capability to let me program the remote in the way I like, not the way manufacturer like. And I need RF link to use my remote from the bedroom on 2nd floor to control my cable, dvd ...
