When I took my old cable apart, I found that I had conformal coated it (probably because the only housing that I had at the time was metalic) so I decided to make another cable instead of disassembling the original. I opted for the ultra cable which works with my remote and my desktop (YEA), but not ...

Help with a Simple Interface

:?: A couple of years ago, I made a simple interface that has served me well with my URC8800. I recently purchased a 8910 and the interface seems to be failing (it still works with my 8800 if I set the compatibility settings for IR to WinNT4).

(Now to dive head first into TOADTOG)

Well, I think I can save you some time. I've never written any Toad Tog protocol for any of the 740 remotes, so unfortunately you are out of luck there. Sorry.

I am assuming a couple of things:

1) The existing TOADTOG file will not work since the README states ...

It works great .... Thanks!

One question though ... since I am still using device codes, what is the "device specific memory area"?

Thanks again

Nested Macros w/8800 Extender

I am currently using "8780 8800 9800 extender v2a" posted by gjarboni on a URC-8800B01. I have the extender successfully installed with the following exception. In nested macros (such as the example below), the parent macro exits after completion of the child.

Key Name /Keys
MACRO2 /LightOn;Virtual ...
