If you check the RDF folder, you'll see that the 7120, 7130 and 7140 all use the same RDF

The zip file contains MAP and JPG files for the 7140. The image folder as released contains versions for both the 7130 and 7140.

I'm inferring from this that the 7130 and 7140 are thus different.

I have a ...

I'm not entirely sure if the other way around was ever correct, it's possible that the image that we used was a prototype "generated" image, rather than an image of an actual remote.

I have reversed the buttons in the map and image below, un-zip these into the Images folder, under the RM folder ...

Checking the JPG file for the remote in the maps, it shows the RECORD and STOP buttons the wrong way around.
That's interesting, so maybe what happened is that UEI switched the 2 buttons midway through the process so that some remotes have them one way and some have them reversed.

This would ...

Looking at the RDF file for the R04 file, the STOP and RECORD buttons appear to be in the correct order.

i.e. it looks as though the correction that are needed have not been applied to the RDF file for my remote, which is R02.

What manual edits do I need to apply to the RDF file

No, the RDF is a .rdf suffixed file, it's in the RDF folder of your RM installation. But like I said, it's fixed in the latest release, so maybe just download that.

Now I am confused. I have downloaded the latest binaries 2.12.1, installed RMIR and opened the RMIR file I saved.

The STOP and ...

The Robman wrote: The quick fix that you could do yourself is to open the RDF file with a text editor like Notepad and just swap the STOP and RECORD buttons.
Thanks. The RMDU suffixed file? Is that tthe same as the RDF File?

Not 'user error'....

Not a hardware issue....

By chance when looking at the button layout graphic in RMIR, I found that the RECORD and STOP button are transposed.

Applying 178 to to RECORD button (in reality the STOP button!!) and 206 to the STOP button (in reality the ...

Ok, I have no idea, there are no keymoves, macros, external functions or anything that I can see that would be blocking the STOP button.

I suspect a hardware issue with your STOP button, you can verify this by programming another working function to it to see if it works, I bet it won't.

You say ...

Al just checked the code with his Harmony and he confirmed that it is OBC 56, so you are doing something wrong, as you have just found out yourself.

Can you post your RMIR file in the Diagnosis Area so we can spot the issue?

Many thanks. File posted. I am very intrigued as to what the issue is ...

Well......progress........BUT.......

I assigned the 0178 code to to the 16/9 key and BINGO it operates as a stop button.

The stop button (with identical configuration) is, however, operating (as in sending something to the receiver). I confirmed this by looking at the IR transmitter through my ...

To verify the grime theory, have you tried the STOP function on a button other than STOP, or have you tried a different (known to be good) function on the STOP button?

If the STOP button is pre-loaded in the Harmony, can you say exactly what device or setup code you selected on the Harmony and I ...

So your original remote does have a STOP button and you were able to learn it using your Harmony? Does it export the learns as Pronto hex, something like this:

0000 0073 0000 0011 0021 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0041 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0020 00A0 0021 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0021 001F 0021 ...

No buttons on the OFA worked using the test file.

One think I do have is a dump from my harmony remote I got from Concordance if that is any help? I have tried to determine the format but there doesn't seem to be anything helpful out there when I google it.

Thanks. That was the file I used. I will post the link in future.

I've tried the file and none of the buttons (1,2,3) effect a STOP.
