RCA RCR815
I have checked the spreadsheet for the RCA RCR815, but just to doublecheck (since I saw some for sale) does the RCR815 have any JP1 support yet? Does it even have holes for the cable?

Re: Still scratching
It looks IR6.00 is taking radical advantage of macro memory
I'm confused by this statement since the space available for key moves and macros is based on the remote itself (and the corresponding RDF) and has nothing to do with IR. That amount of space should be the same in every version of IR ...

Still scratching
BUT, the last keycode in the pending buffer (at any time) regains the association to the original key which started the macro, so its decision are based on whether that key is still pressed.

I do set the keys for the devices prior to the DLKP
Actually I do set the keys for the devices prior to the DLKP. They are all 7 or 8 entry macros. I have experimented both ways.johnsfine wrote:I'm a little confused why you would want that DKLP at the beginning of a macro.
Thanks for the input.

First of all, Thanks (to Rob i think) for the enhancements in IR5.15. i especially like the protocol builder and notes fields.

How to widen the line of sight of a components IR receiver?
When I am close (within 6 feet) from my HT, some components are finicky and don't always accept all of the macros commands.
Short of tin-foiling the whole room, does anyone know a simple method to help to widen the line of sight of a components IR receiver?

8910x Should I be able to get the backlight to come on?
I want to use the backlight as confirmation of an action. (Make it flash...) I have been unable to trigger the backlight by calling the light button from a macro. Is there a way to trigger the backlight without actually pushing the button?

Re: Ext 8910x1
I have placed Toads (toggle only) on each of my xs-device keys. I am using them in combination with the xs-button(go figure) and within LKPs to synchronize the power on/off.

Thanks. You set me in the right direction
The mac-crows and their shifting nests had me all twisted around.
I have keymoved the LKP to my shift-device keys included the shift-device key in the device macro and that may be a direct quote from the "Text".
All is well. the next treat is TOADTOG.

Are you using all 8 device modes, or do you have a spare one?

8910 extender. How to retain three keys during SET_CHAN_KEY?
I am attempting to have my channel switching done only by the VCR while retaining the Sleep, Info, and TV/Video functions on the TV set.
I believe that the mega way to do it is to keymove the VCRs ch+/- as well as numerals onto the TV. Thats at least 12 keymoves, but I could leave out the SET_CHAN ...

P.S.
I had to take a step back since I am experimenting with the extender on ths remote. Can I still use KMs unextended remote and still upgrade an extended file on IR? I guess this is how its been done for some time.
