Thanks Rob...I did try it, but it was after installed an extender. The docs for the extender said that feature was disabled after install.
I got it though...Figured out how to add a key move in IR that sends the EFC.

Move the shift key?
I have a 8811 and I want to be able to use the device keys to set up all of the equipment used for that device (e.g., pressing dvd would switch the video input on the tv, change the receiver to dvd and such) . I have the macros working and I access them using the shift and the device key.
