How about Pronto and Marantz? Do they have something similar? Or Universals? Just curious, their prices are just outrageous... I mean, paying $1000 for remote??? I mean, I just setup 8811 in my office to make it fool-proof (or as close to one as possible) and my assistant is at complete awe ...

BTW, do any of those high priced remotes do toadtogs? Or any other way of remembering the state of device? I just got to it now and it's one of the most wonderful features of JP1.

Just as usuall, user's error lead to problems. I referred to power button in a DSM, forgetting that there was global macro on power already. Pause was just fine. I'll remve file from diagnostic area.

I just bought 8811 few days ago from Fry's for ~$20. And I know where to get new OFA Kameleons 8-in-1 for $30  Now I need to figure where to get pogo adapter, so that I could use extender. BB had URC-6131n for $16. Didn't want the hustle of upgrading, for few bucks more got 8811, shipping ...

Pause problem

Hi, I am trying to create discrete off for my Toshiba DVD. For discrete on I use play (it's OK if it starts playing DVD right away). For off I try play-power. It needs about 3 seconds afer power up to respond to power. I am trying to create pause. I use 8811 ext 3. I use protocol, tried 8 HEX, then ...

Sorry, next time I will do just that. I figured having in forum would save bandwidth. But you are somewhat right, of course. All too many users don't use search buttin enough. I mean, I just learned couple of buttons, saw Sampo protocol, figured there was no such thing in KM or RM, just searched for ...

Maxent MX-26X3

Just for the sake of future searches, want to add that the same device works for Maxent MX-26X3 26" LCD HDTV. Hopefully someone can search and find it rather then ask new question.

Well, I am stupid. You guys gotta make it more difficult (tell new guys RTFM, like other forums :D ). I figured it out. I will upload upgrade later, when I am finished. New dll made it much easier too. BTW, OBC seem to match MS MCE. I wonder if that upgrade would work...

If the signals do not get decoded preperly by IR.exe, or you can't figure out what to do with them, come back here for help as one of us will un-doubtedly be able to sort them out. Well, only if I'll screw up the learning process :? The rest I'll be able to figure, I'm almost sure. Well, I guess I ...

Well, I guess I'll have to reset extended remote to factory software and visit some computer stores trying to learn functions... Will see what happens. it's a small remote, so memory should be good enough to learn them all... Of course, as usual, I will upload the upgrade if it works.

Is it that difficult to standardize on one set of IR codes for your receiver? I don't even know if it's possible. I was looking at bin files. I also have tried to dissasemble software but without commented source code and SDK I don't think it's easy to locate any functions. Two different software ...
