UPDATE.

I have figured out how to do this (see previous post) using Devices Specific Macros.

Sorry for posting before doing enough experimentation.

Thanks for the advice. I tried unclemiltie's idea of using an extender and that has solved the problem nicely. BUT I have lost VPT functionality. Can you point me towards some resources to resolve this.

thanks

duration of key "pressed" in macro

I'm hoping you can help me shorten the key press duration in a macro.

I am using a Atlas 30333033 remote with a Coby LEDTV 1526 tv. Unfortunately the TV does not have discrete input (source) codes, one has to select a menu and then use the UP & DOWN keys. This works fine manually but when I include ...

I have tried using jumpers to connect my 6-pin connector to the 5-pin on the 2020. I have connected 6-pin pins 2 to 2 (5-pin), 3 to 3, 4 to 4, and 6 to 5. I have done this numbering the 5-pin pins left to right and right to left. NO JOY! I still get the message "remote not found"!

I'd love to hear ...

Paul, Rob wrote above: "When you download the memory using RMIR, what looks wrong?". If RMIR finds an RDF with the right signature, you should be able to do a download. Have you tried a download or were you put off by the RDF it found? The RDF you should be able to modify is the one with the ...

It is, in fact, a JP 1.3 but how to I find an RDF which reflects it's unique function & button layout?

Can I modify an earlier RDF eg. ATL0ATL0 and how?

Inolin:

Thanks for the chart of pin to cable colour for the 5-pin remotes. Could you possibly give us a chart of cable colour to the "standard" 6-pin remote.

That way I can simply use jumper cables to connect my 6-pin interface cable to the 5-pin remote.

Many thanks

30333033 Atlas 4 device remote

I have been experimenting with an Atlas 4 Device remote (that's the name on the manual). It's device signature blink back is 3033 (same as an Atlas 1055). When I try to access it from RMIR it wants to load the 1055 RDF even though the remotes have very different capacities. I have found 2 different ...

Yes, you fellows have found the right remote. Unfortunately I use all of the units I have (my wife would be miffed if one disappeared!).

Graham, thank you for your generous offer. I would be glad to reimburse you for the cost of the unit. Can you contact me privately?

I will be out of town for a ...

Oops! That signature code is missing a 1

It should read 33931

thanks for the interesting info re: the chips. I bought my cable from TxSat about a year ago. The general wisdom seemed to be that he was the most reliable source. I have been very diligent in making sure the adapter is connected correctly as well as trying all combinations.

The 2020 is an odd ...

Thanks mdavej.

The device blinks back a 0.
I agree with you about the communications problem but my JPX flash cable works fine with my 1055 and 1056 remotes and I have checked (with a meter) that the 6 to 5 pin adapter is wired correctly
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

339301 URC-2020 RDF

Can anyone tell me where I can find an RDF for the URC-2020 Champ remote. I have 5 of them and can't access them. When I try to download the remote into RMIR I get the message "No remotes found". Any help would be much appreciated.
