JP1 Remotes

Well that works :) This is the upgrade i used ! The only think I changed was the Dream Locked to On ! All previous tries I used Off setting for that :( I also changed batteries allthough the previous two were brand new too !
Now IrScrutinizer reports that RC5 protocol is recieved while DREAM button ...

Start by uploading your image, with the Hauppauge signal.
Then immediately download it and see if the upgrade assigned the same.

Instead, try to install IrScrutinizer ("generic binary" supports RPi2 and RPI3), select /dev/lirc as capturing device, and try to capture with that instead. Preferably with a protocol with frequency equals to your receiver...

I have zipped together two different IR files. The first just has 3 fixed bytes in the upgrade. The second has the protocol executor added. My guess is that the e8 executor is misidentified in the RDF. The dreamremotes were giving the forum a lot of problems back in the day.

Tv works ok , raspberry is the one that refuses to work ! Still no go with this new file I will try to test with other Hauppauge upgrades and see if I have better results and I will let you know .

If you do want to work with IR, when you download, you don't want to save your downloaded file as txt, you want to save it as an IR file (the default type). IR files can save more information than plain txt.
