no mention of battery size

You can only hope they wisened up and used AA batteries instead of the tiny AAA.

At least they figured out you really should use rechargeables with it...the 10 in 1 comes w/ rechargeable batteries and a charger :-)

Too bad they killed off JP1 support...takes a lot of the fun out of it...

I only know there are 2 version on Kameleon8 URC9960:one is B00; another is B01
They look like equal, but u can see the version on the back of the remote.

Where exactly is the version printed on the back of the remote?
Is it in the battery compartment or on the plastic back of the remote ...

Re: any B01 version of 9960 yet?

That would be cool. Would still like a B01 model though (hoping that the quicker shutoff time helps battery life)...

Re: any B01 version of 9960 yet?

What is your attraction to the B01 version?
The extra storage space for macros from the bigger flash chip :-)
I think OFA tweaked the light up time so it uses less batteries too.

Planning to use NiMH rechargeables, but if my experience w/ FRS radios is any indicator, the AA batteries last a *lot ...

Re: any B01 version of 9960 yet?

If you are referring to the URC-9960 Kameleon

Yep. Was wondering if you could get the B01 version and do the JP1 header to it. What I'd really love is a hack so it uses AA batteries instead of AAA batteries to give it more battery life, but the shape would have to be different :-(

I'll check in ...

any B01 version of 9960 yet?

Hi Rob,

Do you sell these w/ the JP1 header yet? (I know, the IR program hasn't been modified to work w/ it yet, but it will eventually have to since it sounds like OFA has changed the protocol of how you read/write their new remotes :-)

And do you sell the USB JP1 cable?

thanks,
