JP1 Remotes

well that kinda sucks.. anyone have any idea how to build an interface to access it? i got some kinda freaky geaky thrill outta building the jp1 one that hell i'm ready to build my own super computer ..

i made the simple interface cable. it works perfectly with the rs 15-2116 i
bought but not at all with the urc-1057 that my cable co gives out. any ideas? do i need a different cable?

one thing i noticed looking at the plans is what appears to be an unisilated wire that is run to make the conections and insulated jumpers when nessary to avoid shorts.. what is this bare wire.. i mean gage wise etc
