Does the upgrade you found contain the functions you want just not assigned to any button?

If it doesn't then use your 2117 to learn the buttons which aren't in the upgrade and look in the "learned" tab in IR, this may ...

I'm not familiar with th eprecise system your trying to control, but really you've got lots of options and it does depend on how you like to work/think.

If you find ...

I dont seem to find an upgrade on the remote anywhere so I guess I will have to make one myself. Is it very difficult? Will I have to learn every single key on the remote?

There are a couple of places to search (see the#1 Search Faq in the Code search forum) for existing upgrades, or upgrades ...

Device Type: TV
Setup code: 1106
This is the problem I think, the LKP device is MISC/1106 not TV/1106. (The documentation I had a quick look at does seem at best ambiguous, MISC/1106 is the device you can see in the devices tab of IR)

Confirmed yahoo does return

Content-Type: text/plain

So I guess it's a question of it the phpBB extension allows that content type to be returned or not.

I think it a mime content-type problem.

The file section here returns the following in the headers:

Content-Type: application/force-download; name="Loewe_TV.txt"

Yahoo on the other hand I can't easily check (because of the silly sign in system and lynx not support https) but I would guess it ...

Rob,

I believe you can't do it that way, most (all?) browsers don't accept a value clause on <input type=file> statements for security reasons. i.e. To stop me tricking people into uploading files I want, rather than ones they select.

You can't do it that way around, from what I remember the copy from clipboard allows you to take a complete KM upgrade into RM.

The only way to acheive what you want is a manual process, usually it involves ...

OK here's what I found.

Bottom line: Robs Sat-1175 is the way to go just ignore the $20 protocol from KM and use the one in the Notes/3rd Party Protocol area, which is identical to the OFA one.

The 1175 and 847 downloads from OFA were identical (including the keymap) except the final byte of ...

Well I download the 847 device and it does having match EFCs to the SKY+ rmdu, uses protocol $20 (also downloaded), has the REC key defined so looks like it is the SKY+ upgrade.

I can put together a KM upgrade with this, is it OK to post the OFA protocol code?

It's not the clearest thing in the world to know which upgrade is the on you need from the internet site.

It's got:
@SKY
British Sky Broadcasting 1 thru 10
Sky 1 thru 12
Skyplus

@Sky = 1134 and 1350

BskyB = 1847-1851 , 1855, 855, 0847, 1175, 1176

I'd have a guess that some of these may apply ...

I would have thought this was one you could get One For All to download over the phone for you (or via the internet).

I looked on the internet area but it didn't seem obvious what upgrade was what, so I picked one (Sky 12) played it into the modem and got an upgrade device 855 and protocol $20. I ...

If your using XP, NT or 2000 are you definitely logged on with administrator privileges?

Have you set the IO port right for the parallel interface?

(In the interface menu select Parallell... and you'll get a popup enabling you to set the IO port)

Probably not, as far as I am aware the 2117 puts all the data onto the carrier RF signal, including the IR modulation, I would doubt that X10 works like that. But maybe some who knows the ...
