I imagine the TX-NR509 remote is pretty much the same. I am starting to update my JP1 remote (Radio Shack 15-1994). The RMDU above should help a lot.

It seems that the JVC 175 buttons are for the receiver (Set, Exit, Midnight-mode, Effects).

The RC5 0 buttons are non-receiver buttons (TV/Video, TV Vol+-).

JVC 0074 works for a few buttons and I did see JVC-RCVR-RX-552V.rmdu which has a few more. The RX-D702B remote has a ton of buttons. It is a universal remote itself and I am not interested in the buttons that control other devices besides the receiver itself.

The rmaster.err shows a trap if trying to File->Open or Save As. To the user, nothing seems to happen when doing this (no file-chooser dialog box is displayed).

The error trap in the rmaster.err log shows "ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException".

I have a couple questions about this 15-1995 that I have not seen discussed in the forum. There are some buttons that are on the remote that I don't see in the KM buttons sheet. Are they not programmable?

I finally located a 2117 and brought it home. Some stuff worked but I was having lots of touble getting the Tivo keys working. I then noticed that the back of the remote says 15-1995. This remote is a 7-in-1 IR/RF with LCD so it seems similar to the 2117.
