Well, after several home/personal problems I was finally able to try this and after Chris told me to go to the special protocol tab to define a key, then it all fell into place. Thanks again for all the help.

Using pause protocol in a marco
I am new to JP1, especially extenders. I have searched throughout the post but have not been able to see how to include a pause in a macro. I am using the Atlas OCAP JP1.3 extenders. I understand that there is a pause protocol with that extender but I have not found a way to code it into the macro ...

RCA vs RS 15-1978
Thanks for the info, I will check out the Radio Shack switch box. When I bought the RCA (many years ago) Radio Shack didn't have an IR unit. On the RCA, I think that it only looses the learned codes when it is unpluged, but the default codes are still there.
Thanks for all the responses and I will ...

Well I figured out the problem. It revolves around the BIG DUH theory. After my so-in-law Chris took my IR file and operated a RCA V920 box that he had with a remote like mine, I checked mine, and DUH sure enough it still had the codes I programmed in some time ago. I had assumed (you know what that ...

510 and 811 with a cinema 7
Well, I changed a couple of things and it now works. First I used the Swap OBC/EFC on the function page and I changed the Unit code to 2 on the setup page. I am still not sure why 2 works, since the remote address for the 811 is 3, I tried to make it 2 but it wouldn't not take so I went to 3 ...

dish 510 and 811
Well, I have a Dish 510 and a 811. I have a Cinema 7 (URC 7800/6800). I have changed the 811 reciever remote address to 3, and the 510 is 1. I use the setup code 1775 for the 510 and it works fine. I am trying to use the Dishnetwork_301_upgrade_1994.txt to operate the 811. I have changed the setup ...
