Posh's issue sounds almost exactly like mine, i'm using a RS 15-2116/15-2117 with extender 2. I just tried remotemaster 1.93 and it looks like it's working now. Awesome.

I fixed the URL, it requires https now and it located at https://www.xeron.cc/ir_rm_linux/

I should note that I've not been able to actually get IR working with recent wine versions. It just won't work with my parallel port no matter what I try anymore and throws a funny exception error on start. I ...

I've got my guide back online again, the url now unfortunately requires ssl https://www.xeron.cc/ir_rm_linux/

I should note that I'm not actually able to use my parallel port in IR with wine anymore. For whatever reason, IR throws an access violation error on start and nothing seems to work after ...

yeah they used to use conductive silver paint for overclocking the old athlons, i bet the same stuff would work. for that matter, i think there's even conductive markers you can probably use.

if the electrical contacts have worn off the back of the rubber buttons, they actually sell repair kits that you can use to re-coat them with conductive material...i found a wiki howto here:

i don't think there's any easy way to do it unless you have all the 64bit libraries and stuff to link it against, and i don't think any of those would run on a 32bit machine.

however....i know it's possible to do the opposite (compile 32bit binaries on 64bit) but that's only because most of the ...

I'm trying to get rmir working under 64bit linux but it seems all the upload/download functions are disabled. I looked into it a bit further and it seems the .so files are all compiled for 32bit. Is the source for these files available anywhere so I can compile this myself or at least 64bit versions ...

Yes, it is hd zoom, so that must be what we get when we hit enter. I do have HD and it still does nothing. I like this 15-2117 more each day.

if you're using a 15-2117 with a 6412 you might wanna check out my device for it in the files section, it has all that stuff taken care of and I have it ...

hrmm well i messed around with it a bit but I couldn't even get my protocol to work....I'm not sure if I have to import the thing into RM/KM each time I modify it then recreate the device or what but that seems like a hell of a lot more work...

this is really annoying me now....

out of curiousity ...

I'll make a deal with you, if you load the files, I'll give you the protocol code. I think that's a better idea than hoping you'll remember to load up the files when you're done messing with the protocols, after all, loading the files will take about 5 seconds whereas messing with the protocols ...

yeah, most of them are reworks. I think 2 or 3 of mine would be ones which are a bit harder to find....I'll upload them once I'm done messing with the protocol stuff...

On another note, is there any place I can get the GI Cable protocol from? Or just all the protocols in a zip file or something...

I have like 5-6 device files I've made that I've just never gotten around to uploading...I'll probably get around to it eventually..

hrmm, well I guess I might give that a shot...I think I'm up for the challenge. I think I'll try the GI cable protocol first, since it seems to be the one which is ...

Nice to see that my thread has been made sticky...hopefully it's helped a few people out. I figure I'd post a note saying that a few weeks ago I updated my guide ( http://www.xeron.cc/ir_rm_linux ) for the new versions of wine which use wine registry entries for configuration instead of the old ...

I think i know what's going on here, as I actually have noticed this same thing. Some of the new comcast remotes have the enter button programmed as "HD Zoom" which does nothing. The older remotes used enter to perform enter/music, which actually does do something.. I don't remember the OFC's for ...
