I just returned from Ratshack where I picked up a 8in1 IR/RF for $24.00!! I'd like to make my own cable but all links I find point to non existant links on the Yahoo ...

Could you get a camcorder or digital camera and look at that IR on that remote with fresh batteries? If you see the IR flashing might be the cause of the battery drain.

New to this JP1 forum folks so please excuse me if I repeat some questions here.

I am a devoted Tivo user. I just upgraded to two Series 2 Tivo's. A 40 & 80 hour. My wife who is visually impared loves the Tivos & would never give them up! Since she does not work she watches lots of TV.
