Thanks Rob, that's real good info to know.
A while back I saw a couple of URC2025s at out local used item store. I didn't buy them as I had no interest at the time. Hopefully I will eventually get the B0 and B1 version to do some thorough testing.

https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=101357&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=30
Is the signature of this one 254601?
Rob, this RDF contains this :SegmentTypes=$00 $DA $1A $01 $09 $07 $08 $10 $17 $18
Do the values $07 $08 always imply Keymove ...

Yep, got to love this stuff to provide the freebies to the masses.
Anyway I am not going to be around to do any testing for the next 2 weeks but will check in once in a while, just to keep up on any action.

Thanks to all

Hi Rob, a question: How closely is this remote related to the 1056B03? Reason I am asking is that mathdon developed an extender for the latter to give it keymoves along with DSM capability. I have been using it for years, its been ultra stable and made that remote so much more useful.

Do you think ...

Keymoves

Hi, I did some testing with keymoves but was not successfull at all. Assingned the TV "Power" function to the on/off PIP button for all 4 devices.
Test results are:
Cable mode: cable button flashed, sent some weird 3D PIP code to cable box
Tv Mode: no TV device blink. no code I guess
Audio Mode: no ...

Found my problem, I had extra copies of URC-2025 B2.map and URC-2025 B2.jpg from some of my previous hacking on my own. Note the extra space before the B2. These were in addition to your files which I updated using the copy/replace procedure. Once I deleted my extra files the issue cleared up.

My ...

Confirmed. Thanks Rob.

Upload to the remote is successful.

I note several errors in the keymap:

4 registers 3

3 registers 4

7 registers 8

8 registers 7

Ch+/Ch- & Vol+/Vol- are reversed.

Hi Rob, did you get a chance find the root cause of these errors?
I downloaded the latest RDF, Map, Jpg ...

Keymoves

Regarding keymoves, sometimes remotes support them even if they don't let you program them, we have seen cases in the past where we can program keymoves using RMIR and they work, even if the 994 function is missing. While I doubt that that is the case here, you can vertainly try it if you like ...

Upload to URC-2025B2 testing

Hi Guys,
I created a couple of device updates, TV 1250 and DVD 2000, which uploaded successfully. The 1250 code appeared on dev5 as TV, TV codes did not work until I changed the TV device button from 1271 to 1250 also.
What exactly is dev5 for anyway?

Everything is working as expected. I added a ...

Hey andgarden, can you do a successful 981 MFR reset on your remote?
Both of mine give 1 long blink atfer entering the code, should get 4 blinks on success.
The 980 code works great, just curious

Hi, Thats good to know about the RDF

I just obtained another URC-2025 B2 remote from Shaw Cable in exchange for a wornout 1055. I wont upload anything to this one unless we are sure the RDF is 99% done.

The remote came programmed with the following device codes :
As shown by RMIR: Cable 1376, TV ...

Shaw Cable is also using URC2025 B2-B1 remote

I too also have one of these as a free replacement by Shaw Cable for their worn out 1055/1056 remotes. It also has a signature of 35681. I suspect its actually 356801 based on some comments in the forum. I did a Raw dump and have posted it in the diagnostic area along with some Jpegs of the remote ...

Hi Rob

I am not sure what your source for these remotes is, but if you ever get what I want, let me know. I will not buy anything locally for a few months.

The other option is a 9910/9910 with arrow keys. I just received a reply from OFA Canada, which said that they will be transisioning to such a ...
