Cheapest LEARNING remote??
Whats the best "BANG FOR THE BUCK" learning JP1 remote?
I just need the CHEAPEST one possible to learn some commands from OEM remotes, then to upload them to my PC, so I can use the codes on my URC 6131.

Tommy Tyler invented a device that can be built for around $40 that you can use to capture signals using your PC and decode them, but as that's twice the cost of a URC-8811, the idea never really took off.
So I can buy this URC 8811 and LEARN the code, then read it via JP1 to see what it learned ...

Hello! I just got my URC 6131 from Rob, (Thanks again!) and built my JP1 cable at lunch and downloaded and tested my work.
I was able to download my configuration (Yeah! It worked!) but noticed that there are 2 extra items on the GENERAL device buttons.
I have a DEV 7 and DEV 8.
