Mdave,

Many thanks! You wouldn't have an upgrade for this by any chance would you? If I am just adding these codes manually, what is the easiest way to do this? Also, can you confirm that these are for the 5000S and not for the 5000. They use different codes.

Again, Many thanks!

Darbee 5000S Video Processor

I have a 5000S with no remote, so I can't even use the learning function on my remote. I would really appreciate the help. I can't even find the hex codes for this thing...

Repairing Bad Buttons on A Xsight Touch or Nevo C3

Has anyone invested the time to learn to fix one of these remotes? They are becoming increasingly hard to find and I am down to two that do not have any button issues. These things simply do not last. I want to repair tge 4 that have developed an issue, but I am not handy. These are still the best ...

Robman,

I have come to the same conclusion, these command simply are not compatible with the newer JVC projectors. Thanks to both you and Mdave for your help!

I tried using the decimals of 60, 61 & 62 in the OBC column and none of the commands did anything when tried using my remote. Any other thoughts? Mdavej, as always, I really appreciate your help.

I am using the RS2 file from file section. The JVC projectors have used tge same basic codes for years. All I want to be able to do is add functions for discrete custom gamma 1-3 to my existing upgrade, but I need to decipher the hex or transfer it to long hex and then decipher it using ...

Adding Functions Using Short Hex

I am trying to add JVC Projector discrete codes to my existing upgrade, but I can't figure out how to add/decipher these short hex codes (see link below). I tried putting them into IRscrutinizer, but it could not decipher them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Let me chime in on this.

First of all, IR control is considered a legacy technology, so... It may be a good idea to throw in a (subset of) RF (315/433/868 MHz), bluetooth, WLAN (TCP and UDP sockets), etc, to make it attractive.

Consider for example my little project , with the firmware AGirs ...

Kickstarter Campaign

I have grown very fond of JP1, RMIR and my remote of choice, the Xsight Touch / Nevo C3. That said, I think there has to be a better remote option. With all the programming and hardware knowledge that exists in these forums, wouldn't it make sense for a group here to take on the project of creating ...

Interesting, but I'm missing how this works. The USB plugs into the back of the Fire (not all Fire TVs have the USB plug). The ir dongle receives the IR and converts it to keyboard commands (as though a USB keyboard were plugged into the Fire).

EDIT: I just re-read your original post and realized ...

Just in case some are looking for other ways to go about controlling their FireTV and other streaming devices with USB ports, you can also just buy an MCE remote like the one linked below. The IR dongle that comes with it will allow you to control your Fire TV and many other streaming devices with a ...

Thanks mdavej! Your help is always appreciated. I tried the activities command as well, but it did not work. It appears only the home command works.
