Hi,

The attached link is a file with 8 learned signals from a Denon 1707 AV receiver.
There seems to be many different devices numbers. (2,4,4-1,8,12)

Does the Denon Combo offical protocol cover all of these device numbers or do I need to load a different protocol?

How did you get the EFC numbers, just like "johnsfine" posted?

"53 hex, which is 83 decimal, is the OBC number. You could also get that by computing 127 minus 44 as described in that other thread, using the wrong OBC number displayed by the decoder."

I tried all 8 of the codes and none of them worked.

Anyway to see if the protocol is the problem or if I should be testing all 255 codes?

My guess is a protocol problem.

Sorry for all the questions!

Let me take one of my "learned codes" for an example: TV:5

Protocol = Gap-550-1687-32?
Device = 122
Sub-Device = 133
OBC = 44
Misc = 7A.85.53.2C

I'm not sure what to do with the 3 or 4 Hex number to get the correct EFC?
I know once I get the correct EFC I use it on ...

I sure may be doing it wrong!! I'm by far no expert.

I have attached my 8910 file if you care to look at what I did?

I'm still trying to understand the previous 3 or 4 posts.

How do I know what OBC codes to use?
Do I use the ones found from the Learned codes with the GAP protocol?

Hi John,

I use a 8910 extended remote as my main remote.
I just use the 8811 to learn protocols and OBC codes to help me program the 8910.

If there is a way to get the other protocol working I would like to do that.

I'm pretty confindent the "learn" is good. I did it 4 times with mulitpy key and I get the same results every time. The same buttons show with NEC1 each time as do the same ones show with GAP each time.

The Vol and pwr buttons show up as NEC1 and the Input buttons all show ...

I have a Yamaha RX-V665 A/V receiver

I am learning some of the HDMI input OBC codes and I'm having a problem with the protocol??

It reads::
Protocol=GAP-550-1687-32?
Device=122
Sub-Device=133
OBC = Varies for each input

Can someone send me in the correct direction?
