Prelude: A suggestion that might help things. Use a Silver Sharpie to tag pins 1. It's what I did after I saw your picture, which was a BIG help!!

jchiso I agree. I've noticed that they have modified their wording to list which models it won't fit. Beware that the list is not complete. The RCA remote should also be listed. If you already have this cable use an Xacto knife or box cutter to shave the edges of the plug and glue it back together ...

Are you saying THIS cable doesn't fit? Otherwise, you bought the wrong cable. So DIY knows about the issue and has already addressed it by selling a different model as well as an adapter for their other models.

We are now offering USB version of JP1.2/1.3 cable. Our USB version has a low profile header, it fits small openings (such as URC-7555, RS 15-134 and RS 15-135 etc, please check the back of your remote) so no extra adapter is needed.
