I have been using the 8060 with the excellent extender for many many years now, and sadly, they are wearing out :(
I have two remotes that no longer respond to the parallel interface, and was wondering if I could update them using IRToWav?
The readme lists the remote as supported, I know having ...

I have uploaded a zip file containing two files, one each for raw download, which exits cleanly, presumably as the remote signature is not seen, and one for normal download which does produce an exception.
It's odd, the same physical setup reads the signature bytes OK from the URC-8910, but reads ...

Being in the UK, the adapter is a bit of a problem, but equivalent cables are easily available.
I think I'm looking for some help from an IR expert - I had a peek at the sources, and it appears that the 378 default port address can be patched up by setting a registry value - 'PortAddress'.

Using old parallel cable on modern PCs without parallel port
I have recently had to replace my DVD player, and hence am revisiting my Kameleon remote JP1 programming.
I am staggered to see that the last time I posted here is nearly 10 years ago!
My issue is that I now have a PC with no parallel port, so I simply went out and bought a PCIE serial/parallel ...

Kameleon JP1 pin layout
It's so long since I programmed my Kameleon 8060, I can't remember which way around the cable has to be connected!
My cable was from HovisDirect, who aren't trading any more, and I haven't managed to find a picture anywhere.
( I keep getting 'No response from remote' )
Help!

Getting learning feature back on my 8910
It's quite a while since I did anything JP1, and I have just re-programmed my 8910.
Nothing wrong in that, everything is fine.
BUT - I now need to go back to the original software, so that I can use the
learning facility, and I don't seem to have a backup...
How do I get back to where I started ...

Progress?
Well, has anybody made one yet?
I must be missing something here - from the links posted above,
I understand that the parallel port is used to input a bit sequence,
and that the Digitrace program does lots of clever stuff with it.
But I don't see where the actual hardware design is described. in ...

Problem with Macro sequence
I would appreciate it if somebody could take a look at this IR file,
used with the 8060 Kameleon Extender
When I use any of the four macros #8 though #11, I have a problem
sending a number to my Projector :(
The sequence X_TV, M2, 1 is supposed to select the projector, and
send the number one to ...

How about lowering the postcount levels!
I may only have 36 posts, but I feel like I got past the
'Just Gettin' Started' level a long time ago!
I'm more like 'Damaged Goods' now

Now I see what's happening...
Ah! Now I get it :)
The reason there is a problem is because there are two codes
allocated for one key :?
In my RDF there are two codes for the select / info / AV key,
AV{input-select}=$12
display:Info=$52
Key $52 is the one referenced in the ButtonMap
When using KM, I allocated the info ...
